Shemesh Wines

Here comes the sun! Shemesh Sauvignon Blanc Fume and Shemesh Moscato. "Shemesh" is the Hebrew word for "Sun," and the grapes for these wines have been caressed by the brilliant Mediterranean sunshine and cool breezes off the water. The Sauvignon Blanc Fume has spent time in new French Oak Barrels to achieve a supple level of smokiness along with kiwi, mango and other tropical fruits. Nothing better with smoked turkey, smoked salmon or smoked trout. The 2006 vintage is being released for Passover 2007. Mevushal. O-U Certified.

Shemesh Moscato (currently out of stock) is an oh-so-supple, delicate, laid-back and mellow Moscato also from the Dan Region. Semi-Sweet, not sweet-sweet. (This wine is not "greasy kid stuff or bubblegum.") No jolt of seltzer, this is a real wine, light, breezy with notes of peaches, nuts, kumquats and honey. Excellent with poultry. Great with Sweet and Sour Chicken. Won't overwhelm food. Mevushal. O-U Certified.
